Have you ever wanted to make a bet on yourself?
Have you ever wanted to share an idea or feeling with others?
Have you ever had an intersection of something you enjoy doing and something that could provide a monetary reward?
The online shop I opened comes out of these questions and the answers I’m discovering. Etsy provides the platform and technical details, I provide the material. While it’s still in it’s infancy, my shop, called Messy Mischief, already feels worthwhile. I’m not a natural business woman so I can’t analyze the cost benefit scenario on a flow chart, but I feel that the amount of satisfaction I gain from selling my paintings (that sounds fancier than how I view them, but they are paint on a canvas, thus rendering them “paintings”) makes this a sustainable endeavor.
Translation: this is a lot of fun to do and people seem to want to buy what I create.
